Description: The goal of this study was to compare the effectiveness of mammography and breast MRI for the detection of second breast cancer events among women with a personal history of breast cancer. Using existing Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium data along with information collected through patient focus groups and physician interviews, common case summaries for women to use in comparing benefits and harms of breast MRI and mammography were generated. In addition, publications on the performance of breast MRI compared to mammography for women with a personal history of breast cancer were created.
